EPL Clubs Eye Israel’s Oscar Gloukh

Israel midfielder, Oscar Gloukh, will have several English Premier League (EPL) clubs watching him closely today, 5 July, as his side faces England in the semi-finals of the European Under-21 Championships.

The two teams will go head-to-head at Adjarabet Arena in Batumi, Georgia with a slew of scouts likely to be in attendance to evaluate Gloukh’s performance.

According to reports, Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are among a large group of clubs who are interested in signing the 19-year-old midfielder, who currently also plays for Red Bull Salzburg.

However, it’s not just the English clubs who are interested in the young star, who is said to be valued at eight million euros. La Liga clubs, Barcelona and Villarreal, have also enquired about Gloukh while European clubs Milan, Monaco, and RB Leipzig are keeping a watchful eye.

Having already made 53 senior appearances at club level, the talented youngster has won six senior caps for Israel with some publications referring to the rising star as a “wunderkind”.

Despite receiving so much attention recently, Gloukh’s representative, Shahar Greenberg, remains tight-lipped on any potential moves. “There has been so much interest in Oscar for the last few months but we will have to wait to discuss any offers with his club,” Greenberg told an international news outlet on Tuesday, 4 July.
